General Information
LuceSorgente lies in ancient oak and beech woods. It enjoys a delightful and enviable climate on the slopes of Monte Amiata. At a height of 820 m, it overlooks unspoilt mediaeval villages, in an area rich in old traditions, where history, nature, art and mysticism blend to give a truly magic atmosphere. The hotel itself is modern, with a harmonious interior and spacious rooms. It is well equipped for congresses, meetings, training courses, and of course, for relaxation, recreation and restoring body and spirit.
LuceSorgente is a warm friendly place and is also extremely comfortable.
The hotel has 96 rooms, 58 of which are in the main building and the remaining 38 are in annexes in the surrounding woods. They are decorated following the principles of colour therapy and use the three LuceSorgente colours (pink, green and violet). There are four mini suites with hydro-massage units. The hotel also has all the facilities for the disabled.
Maximum attention is paid to detail; and we strive to maintain a warm and welcoming atmosphere at all times. Our menus reflect a continuous search for harmony between body and mind. They are in the finest Tuscan tradition, balanced with the most sophisticated requirements in terms of flavour, naturalness and healthy eating – sources of fitness and positive energy; and intimate, pleasurable moments. The surroundings are inviting and fascinating, and time flies at LuceSorgente. The Amiatino area is full of attractive old villages, castles, abbeys and woodland. Nearby are the Etruscan fens of Sovana, Sorano, Pitigliano and Saturnia; the Argentario, Upper Lazio, Siena and the Orcia Valley. In fact a large part of Central Italy – the cradle of Western civilisation, is within easy reach. For the more energetic, there are fine riding stables, gymnasiums, sign-posted walks and mountain-bike tracks. A Health and Beauty Centre, which uses natural methods, gives the final touch to a special break for our guests.
The Rooms:
Park Hotel LuceSorgente has three types of rooms. They are all beautifully furnished and are well equipped: they have showers (except for the “elegance” rooms, which have bathtubs equipped with hydro-massage Jacuzzi), colour television (via satellite), cable television/radio, direct line telephones (with Internet plug connections on request), mini-bar, anti allergy, orthopaedic mattresses and a choice of pillows.
Dining:
Our large dining rooms with their interplay of lighting are venues for meetings, communication and for the pleasure of tasting the typical simple flavours of Tuscan and vegetarian cooking.
Our food reflects nature’s seasons and recaptures its importance as the prime source of energy and health.
Tuscan food and its traditions and simplicity have been rediscovered by our Chef and have been enhanced by the use of biologically cultivated products.
A simple vegetarian diet accompanies the Health and Beauty Centre programmes, ideal for those who enjoy light meals without giving up flavoursome food.
Fish courses served fresh from the Tyrrhenian Sea are cooked using simple straightforward methods.
