General Information
Owned by the Ferragamo Family since 1993 the village and surrounding estate have been carefully restored to provide typical accommodation for the more discerning traveller, whilst maintaining the traditions of the rural Tuscan lifestyle.
Only by the faith and will of man was the Borro originally created and by that perseverance generations on so it has been restored.
When the Ferragamo Family arrived at Il Borro in 1993 the palazzo and village lay in a sad state of repair, there having been little constructual maintenance due to the economy since the end of the war.
After a decade of careful planning and hard work Il Borro has now been restored to its rightful place as one of the most glorious of these Tuscan outposts.
The holiday houses although differing in individual character have all been restored with comfort and practicality in mind. All apartments have fitted modern kitchens with washing machine, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, hob-cooker, crockery and utensils. Luxurious bathrooms contain shower, bath, faucet units, toilet and bidet. Bedrooms have either queen size double or two large single beds. Each house also has satellite TV, safe, telephone, hairdryer, ironing facilities and use of a swimming pool during the summer months.
