 General Information

The "cooperativa Agricola Valdarnese " runs a farm of 30 hectares in the hills of the Arno Valley in the Province of Arezzo. Farming is rigorously biologically controlled and consist mainly of vineyards, olives - groves and vegetable produce, and provide agricoltural tourism.

 

All of their wines are bottled on the property and marketed direcly.

 

Chianti "Paterna" Colli Aretini docg: is made from 80% Sangiovese, 10% canaiolo and hoter grapes.

 

Every year they produce about 20.000 bottles of this traditional and genuine wine wich goes well with simple food but at the same time makes an excellent accompaniment to more elaborate menus. At the beginning of december it is filtered into stainless steel vats for 9 - 10 months and then bottled in september.

 

"Vignanova" Colli Toscani igt: is made from 100% Sangiovese. Every year approximately 4000 bottles of this wine is produced enhancing an elaborate and rich flavoured gastronomy.

 

The wine - making method is traditional with extra added clean yeast; numerous are the wine - pressings for enhancing colour and fragrance. At the becinning of december the wine is decanted in clean barrels; ageing first takes place in stainless steel vats for 6 months and then in barrels for another 12 months, finally the wine is put into bottles where it is left for another 6 months for refinement.
