General Information
This superb farmhouse offers accomodation in comfortable apartments, fitted out with period furniture and wrought-iron beds. Situated at 500 metres above sea level and immersed in the tuscan countryside, it is sorrounded by lowns, pastures, hezel groves and woods.
Accommodation The farm Agrituristica Le Gret covers more that 27 hectares and is located on a hill bordering the National Park of the Casentino forest.
The original buildings are from the late 1500's and the actual structure is composed of three houses and seven apartaments designed to permit autonomy for the length of yuor stay and indipendence while preparing and cooking your meals. There is also a meeting room equipped with a stove and fireplace as well as, a large open space for socializing.It is possible to purchase directly from the farm oil, wine, honey, hazelnuts and seasonal homegrown vegetable.
Set in the valley which borders the National Park of the Casentino forest, where the Arno River springs forth, among the churches and castles, enchanting medieval towns and celebrates monasteries of Camaldoli and La Verna.
Here, one is peace. The beauty of the landscape interwined with history and the immense richnessof an artistic patrimony which is unique in the world. It's not by chance that this is the land of Michelangelo and Guido d'Arezzo. Le Gret is synonym for tranquillity.
The farm, which is situated at 500 meters a.s.l. dominating over the charming Casentino landscape, is close by to places of cultural and artistic interest such as Arezzo, Siena,Florence and Orvierto;places where Piero della Francesca and Giotto have left significant reminders of their skill.
All of this without forgetting sport and fun. Le Gret in fact, has a swimming pool, a tennis court, target pratice for bow and arrow, ping pong and just a few kilometers away and you can go hiking,horseback riding,play golf or go canoeing
How to reach usFrom Arezzo: Highway A/1, exit Arezzo, take to State Road71 and head in direction of Bibbiena (Casentino) for 20 Km. until the indication for Poggio d'Acona - Valenzano; From Florence: take Highway A/1, exit Florence South to state road 70 until the "Passo della Consuma".
