General Information
Montelucci, which is family-owned, is a seventeenth century Tuscan manor house, set in one thousand acres of wooded hillside, just off the old Roman road uniting Arezzo with Siena. Within the spacious grounds, there are olive groves and vineyards, grazing and arabie land through which to stroll or go horse riding.
You can visit the little church of San Tommaso or the remains of Montelucci castle, the old Roman road or the ruined hamlet of Barbazzano, dating from the eleventh century. For those who wish, there are mountain bikes available and the small lake of Quercetello for canoeing.
The estate is in the heart of Tuscany, within sight of the hills of Chianti, in an area of great historic and cultural interest. Within an hour drive, it is possible to reach such beautiful towns as Florence, Siena, Perugia, Montepulciano and Assisi to name but a few. While staying at Montelucci, you can take in the atmosphere of a typical Tuscan manor house while enjoying all modern conveniences. The house, which has been recently restored, is beautifully but simply decorated. There are six double bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms and one suite (two double rooms, with en-suite bath), as well as two sitting-rooms, a music room with piano, a billiard room and a television room.
There is the garden too, to enjoy and relax in. It is possible to stay at Montelucci on a bed and breakfast, half-board or full-board basis. It is also possible to buy produce made at Montelucci, such as wine, oil and jam.
