General Information
Born from the need to pass on the love of simple things, the atmosphere of the past and the awareness of the changing of the seasons, Il PEPOLINO is an informal ambient where the warmth of days gone by and harmony with countrylife are found.
Pepolino (Tuscan name for thyme) is an aromatic herb used by our grandmothers to give a particular taste to simple dishes such as the “Ribollita” (a bread and vegetable soup). A simple but tenacious plant, it can be found even in the poorest terrain and its aroma, light yet strong, when carried by the wind is embracing and can make you fall in love.
The old "Podere dell’Ancano" country house and it’s traditional tabacco manufacturing annexe has been renovated intro:
5 spacious apartments with central heating and all modern comforts and furnished respecting the traditional rustic style of Tuscany.
A reading room, a recreation room with ample tables and a large fireplace made of stone.
A shop where wine, olive oil, honey, fruits and vegetables produced directly from our farm can be bought.
A wonderful flowered garden and swimming pool.
Paddocks with horses that give the opportunity to ride and stroll through the surrounding countryside. Mountain bike trails are also available.
Throughout the year meetings are held, based on healthy living, and anything regarding nature, music and art.
