General Information
Although ours is a farm, not a a five star hotel we offer the same service as the of best hotels. The cultivation of the fields of grain and olives, the rearing of the animals(sheep and pigs) is still our principle activity. For us this life is a true paradise and we look forward to giving our guests a taste of this world. Our family is one of the oldest in the 'cortonese' area, we are almost a part of it's geography.
The farm originated at the beginning of the last century and has evolved mixing tradition with innovation. Implementing new ideas like the control of how much forest should be cut and how often, leaving cultivated land to lie fallow in turns of how plants should be reared. Yet jealously sticking to our traditional method of cheese making, ours is is still one of the best. Our wine and oil are the genuine thing, juice of the grape, oil of the olive. We use modern methods to raise our sheep and pigs yet without forgetting that they are animals and are to be treated with care and consideration.
We were the first in this area to have an agriturismo. We have made sympathetic restorations of buildings adhering to the architectural style of the tuscan peasant farmer, only the simplest and essential adaptations have been made to make for a comfortable place to stay.
Il Ginepro, sleeps 2 plus 4, 75 sq meters
Large light apartment on the first floor of the family house a few meters away from the swimming pool, living room/kitchen with original fireplace, beautiful views, wood burning stove, double sofa bed. Double bedroom, with double bed also bunk beds.
La Betulla, sleeps 6 plus 2, 75 sq meters
Apartment on two levels with access from an external staircase. First floor: Living/dining room, corner kitchen, with double sofa bed , double bedroom, bathroom with shower. Second floor: double bedroom, bedroom with two single beds(with possibility of changing to one double bed), bathroom with shower. Central heating.
La Ginestra, sleeps 2 plus 1, 35 sq meters
Little cottage full of character on two levels with panoramic views of the valley below.
Ground floor:Gracious living room with original stone features, hand made terracotta tiled floors and antique fire place with a corner kitchen and single bed. First Floor: Double bedroom and bathroom with shower. Central heating.
Il Noce, sleeps 2 plus 2, 50 sq meters
Cosy little cottage on two levels with the entrance from a little garden.Ground floor: Small kitchen, living room with traditional stone walls and beamed ceilings, contains a double sofa bed, bathroom with shower First Floor: double bedroom. Central heating.
