General Information
In the most beautiful part of Tuscany, between Chianti and Casentino, you'll find the Le Balze agritourist farm. The farm is set among rolling hills in a lovely rural landscape made up of woodlands, olive trees, vineyards and a unique and particular geological formation called "Balze", which are cliffs and crags cut into ancient clay deposits exposed in the bottom of ravines.
Independent, equipped apartaments, furnished with taste in rustic Tuscan style, are available. Three units have been created from renovation of old agricultural buildings near the main house, and thanks to careful interventions using traditional building materials such as wood, terracotta and stone, as well as elegant and practical furnishings, you can spend a comfortable and relaxing holiday.
On one side, the apartments face a wooden portico and large garden area where each unit has its own private green space with table and chairs, while on the other side there is the swimming pool. Guests may use the swimming pool, solarium, barbecue, private fishing pond and post stop for excursions on horseback. Nearby, there are tennis courts, riding stables, and bowling lanes, as well as other sports facilities. Typical farm products are available for purchase: wine, olive oil, vinsanto, honey, jams, fresh produce, and more.
Le Balze agritourist farm offers a pleasant and relaxing holiday in a natural setting yet in close proximity to itineraries of historic and artistic interest. Romanesque parish churches, parks, castles, farms and characteristic villages are waiting to be discovered. Le Balze agritourist farm is 35 km from Florence, 30 km from Arezzo, 40 km from Siena, 20 km from the Chianti hills, and only 7 km from the Valdarno A1 motorway.

In addition, there is a 6x12 m swimming pool, an independent laundry room with washing machine and space to hang clothes, a spacious garden with barbecue and a pond for fishing. Each unit has its own entrance from the garden as well as garden furniture right in front. Near the swimming pool there a gazebo with a table for ten. All three apartments also have heating and satellite television. In September we harvest the grapes and in November we pick the olives. Signora Anna can teach you about Tuscan cooking. Last year we enjoyed many evenings outside dining all together.
